Dog Breed: Doberman Pinscher / Mixed (medium coat). Our first encounter with Azrael was him climbing up one of our team members seeming to request a hug... and that pretty much sums up who he is. This sweet, young pup came to us because his previous family couldn’t keep up with the financial responsibility of having a pet. Letting him go was not easy — and you can tell, because Azrael is the kind of dog who clings to love. When our ACS officers arrived, Azrael didn’t shy away or hide… he wrapped his paws around the officer and gave the biggest hug. Yes — he is a full-on hugger. The kind that melts into your lap, presses his head into your chest, and reminds you that dogs feel things deeply too. Azrael adores people and happily runs over to greet anyone he meets, always ready to soak up affection. He enjoys treats, loves toys, and already knows how to sit when asked — but what he truly wants most is connection. He would thrive in just about any home, as long as love is part of the deal.
