Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed. Hi… I’m Lady and I’m looking for my forever family. I’m about 1–2 years old and a petite 15 pounds, but my heart is huge. I’m wonderful with kids, cats, and other dogs, and I love being part of a family. Not long ago, my world fell apart. I was abandoned in a home with my four puppies, with no food and no water. Even then, I did everything I could to keep my babies alive. A mama never gives up on her children. We were taken to the shelter, where my babies and I quickly found ourselves on the euthanasia list. Just when hope felt so far away, we were saved—together. My puppies are safe now, and it’s finally my turn to dream of a happy ending. All I want is a family who will love me, protect me, and promise to never leave me behind again. I’ll give you my whole heart in return. Could you be the forever I’ve been waiting for?

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
