Description
Dog Breed: Unknown breed. Yukon is one of just two boys in the litter and sports the pure white coat of the group. He may look small at first glance, but that’s only because he doesn’t have the extra fluff his siblings do. Underneath that sleek white coat, Yukon has consistently weighed in at the top of the chart. He proudly holds the title of fastest eater of the litter and is always the first to show up when food is involved. When he’s not eating, Yukon loves to cuddle up to stay warm, happily borrowing body heat from anyone nearby. At 4.5 weeks old, Yukon is: • the white-coated standout • a power eater • sturdy and confident • affectionate and cuddly Yukon will be ready for his forever home mid to late February, will be up to date on age-appropriate care, and will go home with a neuter contract. Sleek white coat. Big appetite. Even bigger heart.

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
