Dog Breed: American Staffordshire Terrier (short coat). Lucy, also known as Big Mama, is a 5–7-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier mix with a whole lot of love to give. Originally adopted from a shelter in New Mexico, Lucy later found her way to California as a stray. While we don’t have much history on her, one thing is clear—Lucy is a super sweet girl who is ready for a fresh start. Lucy is hoping to find a loving home that will help her get on a healthy track, including shedding a few extra pounds with gentle exercise and care. She can be selective with her dog friends, likely due to being attacked by another dog when she was young, and would truly thrive as the center of someone’s world.
