Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed. Hi, I’m Bronx I’m about 7 weeks old, just a baby, and I’m a terrier mix. Not long ago, my momma, my three siblings, and I were left behind in a house with no food and no water. We didn’t understand what was happening—we were just trying to survive. A welfare check saved us. That’s when we were found and taken to the shelter. Even though we were finally safe, everything felt scary and overwhelming. The noise, the strangers, the cold kennels… we were absolutely terrified. And then, before we even had time to settle in, we found ourselves placed on the euthanasia list. I’m just a baby with my whole life ahead of me, and I’m hoping someone will see me, choose me, and give me the chance to grow up loved and safe.

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
