Description
Dog Breed: Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler (short coat). Lo Rockland, ME. is the Location Hi, my name is Krink . I love, love, love life! I love ALL humans and ALL dogs. I just ignore cats. I love going for walks, especially in the woods, I love food, I love belly rubs, I love playing rough, I love car ride. I LOVE life! My foster mom says I’m exhausting. I think that word means “really fun”. I follow her everywhere she goes. I am about 2 years old, 48 pounds, neutered and up to date on all my shots. I did accidentally injure my right rear knee and I’m supposed to not jump around very much for a few weeks. The doctor said that’s all I needed. I did not love the doctor! I am pretty good with the potty training but sometimes I can’t fight the urge to mark my territory inside. I promise to work on that. Krink was found as a stray in Georgia. He has tested negative for heartworms and been on flea and tick medicine as well as heartworm preventative. He is being fostered in Maine. Krink would be great with animal siblings or as an only dog. He would be best in a situation with LOTS of activity. Please contact cknight0gmail. Complete an Application: .acdra/adoption-application

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
