Dog Breed: Boxer. Hi! My name is Merritt! I am a super sweet 4 year old boy who was found as a stray prior to rescue. I had a weekend sleepover with a temp foster and wanted to report back how I did! I LOVE humans and love to cuddle! I enjoy lazy afternoons on the couch, but sometimes get the zoomies in the backyard. I like chasing squirrels and birds, so I might not be great around cats, but have not been exposed to any yet. I am very gentle and not a jumper, so my temp foster thinks I would be good around small children. It is assumed I was an outdoor dog at some point, therefore I will need some work on house training, but I did much better after getting neutered. I don't love the crate but will go into it and sleep through the night. I am non reactive to dogs, and I even touched noses with Monty (another Boxer that was at my temp foster's house) through Monty's crate. My temp foster mom said it was so sweet! I do well on a leash and LOVE car rides! I am very food motivated, and will do anything for cheese!
