Dog Breed: German Shepherd Dog / Mixed. Bodhi is an approximately 18-month-old male German Shepherd mix weighing around 72 lbs who is ready to find his forever home. He was found off Horizon Road near Rockwall Custom Frames and was never reclaimed. Bodhi is a friendly, social boy who enjoys being around people and has made several dog friends while in care. A meet and greet is recommended for homes with other dogs to ensure a good fit. He has also shown gentle, curious behavior around cats, often laying down calmly in their presence. Bodhi keeps his kennel clean and does not destroy toys or bedding, which are great signs he may already be potty trained or will transition easily into a home with consistency. He walks well on a leash and would benefit from continued basic training to help him grow into a confident, well-mannered companion. Bodhi is a loyal, attentive dog who thrives on companionship and would love to be included in daily activities. He is neutered, microchipped, current on rabies and core vaccinations, and has tested heartworm positive. Thanks to Rockwall PAWS, his treatment is sponsored at little to no cost to his adopter. Bodhi is a Diamond Dog as of 04/29/26 after 90 days in care, and his reduced adoption fee is $75. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense.
