Dog Breed: German Shepherd Dog / Mixed. Meet Bodhi Bodhi is an approximately 18-month-old male German Shepherd mix weighing around 72 lbs who is ready to find his forever home. He was found off Horizon Road near Rockwall Custom Frames and, sadly, was never reclaimed. Now he's looking for a fresh start with a family who will include him in everyday life and give him the love and stability he deserves. Bodhi is a friendly, social boy who enjoys being around people and has made several dog friends while at the shelter. If you already have a dog at home, a meet and greet is still recommended to ensure he is a good fit for your home. He has also shown gentle, curious behavior around cats—often laying down calmly in their presence—which speaks to his respectful nature. He keeps his kennel clean and does not destroy toys or bedding, which are great signs that he may already be potty trained or will transition easily into a home with consistency. Bodhi walks well on a leash and would benefit from continued basic training to help him grow into a confident, well-mannered companion. At heart, Bodhi is a loyal and attentive dog who thrives on companionship. Whether it's going for walks, spending time in the yard, or relaxing with his people, he is happiest when he's included. Bodhi is neutered, microchipped, and current on his rabies vaccination and basic boosters. He has tested heartworm positive, but thanks to Rockwall PAWS, his treatment can be provided at little to no cost to his adopter. His adoption fee is $125.
