Description
Dog Breed: Unknown breed. I am looking for any help or guidance in re homing our American Bully as soon as possible. We are located in the Gilbert area but are willing to drive and able to cover a re homing fee. Rip is a 6 year old, 70-75 pound American Bully. We are his original owners and no longer have access to his breeder. Rip has always been good with our kids, is quiet in our home, cuddles with the kids, sits nicely while waiting for his food, and potty trained from a young age. From a puppy, he has exhibited dog aggression. We tried training and were never able to safely socialize him. Recently, Rip has gotten out the front door and attacked 2 neighbor dogs. He also got off his leash at the vet and attacked a dog. All 3 dogs were unharmed. The problem is the owners were all elderly, fell during the altercation, and were very scared. We are no longer equipped to keep Rip in our home and away from other dogs. Neighbors, animal control, and his veterinarian are all all pushing for euthanasia. I cannot post on social media as our neighbors are still scared. This is a really sweet boy, no problem at home, we just cannot contain him in our home anymore. Thank you for your consideration. **** Breed: american bully **** Pet Link: .nokillnetwork/adoption/pet_detail.php?petid=2193503&flag=1

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
