Description
Dog Breed: Lhasa Apso / Mixed (medium coat). Meet Missy, the black and white Lhasa Apso mix. Missy arrived at the Shelter with her half sister Cookie. Missy was previously outdoors only but is enjoying the perks of indoor living â lots of comfy beds, toys and close proximity to people. Missy will need a little patience in the transition to indoor living as she is not house trained and still perfecting leashing walking. She has met other dogs since her arrival at the Shelter and has coexisted while exploring the exercise yards. A home with another dog may be a fit after a slow, thoughtful introduction. We do not have any history of Missy with children or felines. The Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter Foundation is now offering âPawsitivity Bucksâ with every dog adoption. This $200 training voucher is a way for newly adopted canines and their guardians to connect with local positive reinforcement based behavior consultants and get their relationship started off on the right paw! Please note: Our Santa Cruz locationâs Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end âmeet and greetsâ (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If youâd like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
