Dog Breed: American Pit Bull Terrier (medium coat). Please meet Hazel (aka Happy Hazel, Sweet Baby Hazel, Hazel Basil)! Hazel is a sweet, shy, sensitive, wide-eyed girl who lives for affection. She loves being gently held, in addition to hugs and kisses. She will happily offer her paw to wrap her arm around you to bring you in closer for an embrace, and she takes every instance of eye contact (intentional or inadvertent) as an invitation for a cuddle session. Hazel is house and crate-trained, and knows some basic commands. She takes treats and food ever so gently, and lets her playful side shine with all kinds of toys (stuffies, chew toys, balls, rope toys, etc). Hazel does not react to other dogs when on walks, and enjoys her time outside in addition to snuggles inside. Hazel is a shot of sunshine in pup form. Just making eye contact or saying the words `good girl` will elicit happy tail wags and joyful bouncing. She can be a little shy at first and sometimes gets scared of new or loud things, but give her patience and a cozy spot and sheâll melt right into you.
