Description
Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (medium coat). This chubby cheeked boy's name is King. This boy's learning the ropes of what it's like to be a well-behaved boy still, with lots of energy and love to give! King can be really worried in new situations, and making new human friends has been hard for him. He would love to go home to a family that can help him warm up to them at his pace- once he's comfortable, he is the biggest cuddle bug! King has a history of enjoying playing with other dogs, so could go home to a well-mathced dog frined(but he'd like to meet them on campuse first!). Take a chance on this worried boy, and watch him turn into the royal pup that he was born to be!

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
