Description
Dog Breed: Siberian Husky / Labrador Retriever / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: 395. Antonio just arrived from PR and settling in beautifully at his foster home. He is almost 4 months old neutered, vaccinated, and currently 19 lbs. His foster says, Day 1: He has followed my dog in and out of the doggie door he is going potty outside, running and playing, starting to learn how to navigate stairs, eating well, and he likes his crate. He is missing his 5 brothers and sister but enjoying learning from his new foster brother. Antonio and siblings were rescued from the streets of Puerto Rico, where dog abandonment is a serious problem. They are all very social and loving puppies. Seeing that 2 of the pups have a mix of blue and brown eyes, we assume there must be some Husky in their DNA, but like most Puerto Rican dogs, these pups are mixes of generations of mixes. They are probably a mix of about10-20 breeds. They have had 3 rounds of vaccines and just got neutered this week. their adoption fee is the standard $395. Temperamentally, Labskies are known for being intelligent, energetic, and loyal. They thrive on human companionship and require significant mental and physical stimulation to prevent boredom, making them best suited for active families or individuals with a large, securely fenced yard. Due to their energy levels and potential for vocalization, they are generally not ideal for apartment living. While typically healthy, they can inherit predispositions to conditions seen in their parent breeds, such as hip and elbow dysplasia, eye conditions, and certain skin allergies, so responsible breeding and regular vet check-ups are crucial.
