He was rescued from an illegal breeding facility in South Korea, where dogs are treated as commodities instead of companions — but Pickle is finally safe and ready for a new beginning. At six years old, Pickle is in a wonderful, settled stage of life. He enjoys gentle walks, cozy naps, and staying close to his people. He’s calm, affectionate, and content simply being part of a loving home. With patience and consistency, Pickle is ready to build a deep bond with a family who will show him what true comfort and care feel like. ✨ Pickle is looking for a foster or forever home where he can continue to grow in confidence and finally experience what it means to belong. One loving home can truly change the rest of his life. Adoption Information Pickle’s adoption fee is $1,595, a non-refundable donation that helps support ongoing rescue efforts. The Shih Tzu, affectionately known as the "lion dog," boasts an ancient and regal lineage, originating from the Tibetan plateau and further refined in imperial China. These charming canines are easily recognized by their striking appearance: a small, sturdy build, a distinctive undershot jaw, and a long, flowing double coat that often requires regular grooming to prevent matting. Temperamentally, Shih Tzus are renowned for being affectionate, outgoing, and playful companions, making them wonderfully suitable for a variety of households.
