Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed. Meet Green Pepper! Green Pepper is a 3-month-old bundle of personality and puppy charm! This social little girl loves being outside, soaking up the sunshine, and making new friends wherever she goes. She’s already doing pretty well on a leash—just a tiny bit of “wait, do I have to?” at first, then she happily trots along. She’s learning to play fetch and thinks an empty water bottle is the greatest toy ever invented. (Why buy fancy toys when recycling is this fun?!) Green Pepper is impressively independent for such a young pup—she’ll put herself in her playpen when she’s ready for some quiet time and is already sleeping through the night like a champ. She’s very food motivated, which makes training a breeze, and she already knows “sit” and “come.” This bright little girl is already HOUSETRAINED! If you’re looking for a smart, playful, and confident little girl who will keep you smiling and moving, Green Pepper might just be your perfect match! We receive many applications and many never respond after processing GREATLY delaying the pets forever home. Please only apply if you are serious about adopting. Please also make sure your pets are up to date on you species applicable Vaccines (rabies, Distemper/Parvo, FVRCP, Bordetella), spayed/neutered, and on Heartworm prevention if a canine. The adoption fee includes their age appropriate vaccinations(DA2PP and Bordetella), Dewormer, spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm test as well as the registration of their microchip information to you.

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
