Description
Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier (medium coat). Meet Hazel! As a 5 Year old nugget of energy this girl is ready for a home! Having been with us since January 16th, Hazel has been a model resident, quiet in the kennel but the energy really shows when she's out. Hazel is the definition of built, this girl could pull a plow if she needed to and she will easily drag you around, we recommend looking into training for her, including leash training and calming down as Hazel can be a bit sharky for her treats. This pup cup queen is extremely affectionate when she realizes treats are joining the journey. Hazel is dog friendly, having come in with another pup, she's looking for a dog who can match her energy but will also join the cuddle puddle to wind down. Hazel would do best in a home with an athletic lifestyle or a fenced in yard as she loves to run and have fun! But be careful of any mud as miss Hazel is not the biggest fan of bath time and may cling to you for emotional support. This lover girl has many talents including, billingual understanding of english and spanish and her thriving career as a model who adores being dressed up.

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
