Dog Breed: Unknown breed (short coat). Adoption Fee: $325.00. Bridger Bridger is a handsome, tri-colored puppy with a big heart and an even bigger personality! This chunky sweetheart has the most adorable polka dot nose and soulful eyes that will melt your heart. Smart and curious, Bridger already knows how to sit and picks up new things quickly. He loves to explore and sees the whole world as one big playground, every stick, leaf, and squeaky toy is an adventure waiting to happen! He is potty trained and knows how to use a doggie door. With his gentle nature and playful spirit, Bridger is ready to bring warmth, fun, and endless tail wags to his forever family. He is house trained, uses a doggie door. He knows sit, shake, and has nearly mastered down. He has good recall, although he is still rewarded with a treat we he returns. He sometimes plays a little rough with the cat. He does great on car rides and loves going for walks on and off leash. (We are estimating Bridger was born around 7/28/25. He and his siblings came to us off the Wind River Reservation in Wyoming. We are uncertain of their exact breed mix).

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
