Complete an application at Application – Carolina Poodle Rescue Date into Rescue: 12/29/25 Reason for being in rescue: owner breeder release Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Special Needs? Mia is spayed, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. TENTATIVE: On 01/21/26 Mia had a dental polishing. Weight: 14 lbs Height: 12 in Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $499 Fence needed? Yes. Mia is better suited for a house with a fenced in yard where she can run and play. What kind of home would be best for me? Mia is looking for a home with another small dog, as she finds comfort and confidence in canine companionship. Larger dogs are overwhelming for her, and she would not be comfortable living in a home with big dogs. A calm, friendly small-dog buddy will help her feel secure as she adjusts to her new life. Much of pet life is still new to Mia, so she will need time, patience, and guidance to learn what it means to be a beloved household pet. She will require all basic training and support as she learns house manners, routines, and expectations. While she is fun and playful, Mia is not well suited for a loud, chaotic, or constantly changing environment. She thrives best in a calm, predictable home where she can settle in and grow at her own pace. What is my personality like? Mia is a sweet Miniature Poodle who is just beginning to discover that love and attention can be every bit as fun as playtime. Mia has never known life as a pet so everything is new. She is a hidden gem just waiting to be polished. Mia is young, playful, and full of personality, with a gentle charm that shines once she feels safe and settled. With gentle guidance, a steady routine, and a small canine friend by her side, Mia has all the potential to bloom into a joyful, affectionate little dog who brings warmth and happiness to her forever home. Once she settles in, she is playful and full of energy. She loves to run and play with her canine companions. How do I act when I first meet new people? At first, Mia can be shy and a bit timid, but with patience and consistency, she blossoms into a happy, playful little companion. Other tips and tidbits: Mia's birthday is 08-15-2020 House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. Potential Adopters Dogs can’t drive — and since we’re busy taking care of them, we can’t either! Please check your potential BFF’s location and make sure you’re comfortable traveling to meet them. Overview:

The Miniature Poodle, a charming and intelligent companion, originated in Germany as a water retriever before being refined in France. They are renowned for their elegant appearance, characterized by a distinctive curly coat (often requiring regular grooming to prevent matting), long muzzle, and expressive dark eyes. Standing typically between 10 to 15 inches tall and weighing 10 to 15 pounds, they are a compact yet sturdy breed. Temperamentally, Miniature Poodles are known for their high intelligence, making them highly trainable and eager to please. They are generally lively, affectionate, and can be quite playful, thriving on interaction with their families. Their adaptable nature makes them well-suited for apartment living, provided they receive adequate daily exercise and mental stimulation. They are often excellent with children and other pets when properly socialized. While generally healthy, potential owners should be aware of breed-specific concerns such as progressive retinal atrophy, luxating patella, and Addison's disease. With their captivating looks and bright minds, the Miniature Poodle makes a delightful and devoted family member.
