Description
Dog Breed: Terrier (long coat). "STOP SCROLLING! This face needs a place to stay. Axel is a sweet, fun, and goofy boy looking a forever home of his own. - Axel seems to do good with dogs, as he’s just a happy-go-lucky guy ready to take on the day! He loves giving Callie, also a new arrival, kisses through the cage! However, please note a proper meet in greet is needed to tell if he would be a good fit. - He is not cat tested, however a proper introduction with the help of Slate, will be needed! - Axel is treat motivated, and is working on sit! - Axel loves to cuddle and curl up into your lap, he would be your favorite movie partner for life! Overall, Axel is a sweet, loving boy who would love a home of his own. He would be the perfect piece to that missing puzzle that you just can’t seem to complete yet, but have no fear, Axel is here! Axel is quite in his room, despite other pups being in the room with him (5 others to be exact). Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
