Description
Dog Breed: Siberian Husky (medium coat). Adoption Fee: 385.00. Meet Echo Echo is a bright, bouncy 10-month-old Husky with all the playful energy and curiosity you’d expect from a young pup! He’s still learning the ropes of being an inside dog and will need a bit of extra training to help him settle into home life, but his sweet nature and eagerness to please make him a wonderful student in the making. This handsome boy is treat-motivated and quick to pick up on new things once he understands what’s expected of him. With consistency, patience, and positive reinforcement, Echo will thrive as he learns boundaries and good manners. He’s dog friendly and loves having playmates to burn off some of that puppy energy. Echo is still working on his crate and house training, but he’s making progress every day. We’re still getting to know this fun-loving boy, so check back soon for more updates — but one thing’s for sure: Echo’s joyful spirit and big heart will make him an amazing companion for the right family.

Siberian Husky
A.K.A.: Husky, Arctic Husky, Chukcha, Chukchi, Chukchi Sled Dog, Sibe, Sibes, Sled Dog, Snow Dog
Overview:
The Siberian Husky is a striking and beloved breed, originating from Northeast Asia where they were bred by the Chukchi people for pulling sleds over long distances in harsh conditions. Physically, they are easily recognizable by their medium size, thick double coat (available in various colors and markings), and often captivating blue or bi-colored eyes. Their temperament is typically friendly, outgoing, and playful, making them generally good with children and other dogs. However, their independent and sometimes stubborn nature, coupled with a strong prey drive, means consistent training and secure containment are essential. While affectionate, their high energy levels and need for significant exercise make them less suitable for sedentary lifestyles or tiny apartments; a house with a securely fenced yard is often preferred. Health-wise, they are generally robust but can be prone to certain conditions like hip and elbow dysplasia and eye problems such as cataracts and progressive retinal atrophy. Overall, a Siberian Husky thrives with active families committed to meeting their exercise and mental stimulation needs.
