Description

Dog Breed: Labrador Retriever / Mixed (medium coat). Nala is a five year old lab that came to us very pregnant. The owners didnt want to deal with her or her pups. All of her pups went home in early January. Nala just was spayed and now is her turn. Nala is a silly goofy yellow lab. We did dna on one of her pups please see last photo for the pups lineage. Applicants must be at least 21 years old. We do not have blanket criteria regarding adoptions. Each applicant is considered based on many things including but not limited to breed experience, yard ( visible fence preferred) and other animals in home. We try to avoid dogs with same sex households as pyrs typically do not do well with the same sex. A volunteer will be in touch to discuss your application and the dog to determine if it is a good match. Your vet and two references will be called. A virtual home visit done. Once approved a meet and greet at the farm will take place. If all are in agreement an adoption contract will be signed and adoption fee paid. Adoption fees for dogs are $500. for adults over 12 months, $600 for puppies 12 months and younger as well as small breed dogs. Fees for seniors, special needs or harder to place dogs will be determined by our Board of Directors. All dogs will be altered when adoption is finalized. This may involve young puppies be given until a certain age to be altered. All animals are up to date on age appropriate core vaccines, negative for parasites, heart worm and lyme tested if 6 months or older, microchipped and have a current health certificate. Proof of a basic obedience course completed is part of our adoption contract within six months. Our descriptions are based on shelter evaluations, input from foster homes and interactions with our volunteers but are in no way a guarantee of temperment. We show animals by appointment only.
