Dog Breed: American Bulldog / Labrador Retriever / Mixed (medium coat). Shelby, a 2-year-old American Bulldog mix. Shelby is a very shy and sensitive girl who needs time, patience, and a calm approach to feel safe. Please go slow with her—once she trusts you, her true personality starts to shine. She knows her basic commands and wants so badly to be a good girl. Shelby would do best as the only dog in the home and prefers older children, as younger kids can make her anxious. The shelter environment is scary for her, and she’s overwhelmed right now—but in a quiet, loving home, she blossoms. Once she’s comfortable, Shelby is incredibly affectionate and will happily cuddle up and become your loyal protector and best friend. She’s looking for someone who understands that love takes time—and is ready to give her the patience she deserves. 93 lbs If you are interested in meeting Shelby, please visit the shelter during our open hours; Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri 10a-12p & 2p-4p, Thurs 10a-12p & 2p-5:30p, and Saturday 9a-1p. Adoption application are done in person at the shelter. If you do not own your home, bring consent from the property owner to have a dog on the property. As always, if you have another dog in the home, plan to bring them for a meet before you complete the adoption. Adoption fees: 6m and younger $250, 7m-5y $200, 6y-10y $150, 11y and older $100.
