Description
Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed. Hi I’m Dale!! (The tiny spotted snuggle muffin in the photo) I’m a sweet little baby boy dreaming of my forever people to cuddle with every night. My fur is super soft and short, and I’ve got TWO cute pink polka dots on my nose—my special kissy buttons! I’m gentle and nice to everyone—big dogs, cats, people, you name it. No growling or guarding; I happily share my treats and toys because friends are the best! I LOVE playtime: fetch with my ball (zoom-zoom and bring it back!), tug with rope (cute little growly noises), and chomping on my chews while glued to your side. I’m not a wanderer—I stick right by my humans like velcro. A tiny bit shy at first, but in two minutes I’m your wiggly shadow, tail-wagging and ready for snuggles or zoomies. Potty training is going great, and I’m a champ in my kennel too. I’m just a squishy, playful, kind-hearted bundle of love who wants to give you endless puppy kisses and the coziest cuddles. ❤️ If your heart has room for one small spotted boy, please come meet me? I’ve been practicing my best “pick me” eyes! Message my foster fam to set up a snuggle date—I’m so ready to be your favorite little guy! We do not have a facility for you to visit. You are welcome to email ccrcdogsccrcdogs with specific questions, but please complete the online application, which can be found at .ccrcdogs, to secure your position in line for one of our dogs. You can also find a description of our process on that same page. Puppies will not be available to be seen until their 10-day quarantine has passed. Our adoption fees are listed on our website and cover the cost of the spay/neuter, age-appropriate shots and tests, medications to bring the dog to full health, and a free visit with one of our approved vets after adoption. Most dogs at CCRC are obtained from animal control centers so there is often very little known about their history or current habits. You can always expect to do some training, regardless of whether you adopt a dog or a puppy, including crate training, house training, and basic manners. CCRC has a variety of materials and resources to assist you with this, and we have trainers who will offer free phone/email support.

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
