Description
Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (medium coat). I'm Chapo! Weight: 83# I am looking for my new home. I am ALL ABOUT human snuggles, treat eatin, toy playing, and looking ridiculously cute. I come pre-equipped with a few tricks already. I know sit, down, wait, come and leave it! I am NOT a fan of cats, so if you have any felines in your home, I would not be the dog for you. If you have children in your home it is highly reccomended you bring them in to meet me. I may do best with older kids but if you have small ones bring them on in! If you have other dogs in your home, be sure to bring them in to meet me. I am selective with my dog friends, I prefer calm mature dogs. I would make a great only dog child too!

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
