Description
Dog Breed: Rottweiler. Victor is a one year old 55 lb neutered male Rottweiler (maybe a mix, but we believe he is a purebred). Victor is the one on the left in the green shirt. His bonded female Rottweiler is on the right side in the picture in the white shirt. Her name is Val and she is like likely 3yrs old according to her teeth appearance. Maybe Val is Victor's mom (50lbs) but is now spayed and vaccinated and heartworm negative like Victor. They both came from a horrible breeding hoarder in San Antonio, Texas. Animal control took all dogs away and people were sent to trial. So our Texas Rescue team pulled this bonded pair and sent them to our rescue in Pa after being fixed, tested and fully vaccinated! We would appreciate someone adopting both dogs together because of them being bonded. Her adoption fee is also $200, because of cost of transport being close to that for each dog. They both deserve a loving home and are sweet dogs! If you are interested in meeting or adopting Victor and Val please text Casey at 570-441-0083. We adopt to the general public but we also adopt to military veterans with adoption fee waived for one of the dogs in order to provide our heroes with companion or emotional support dogs . Our other adoptable pets our posted on our website as well as the very brief (5 minutes) application form. rescuepetsservingvets tv

Overview:
The Rottweiler is a powerful and intelligent breed, originating in Germany where they were primarily used to drive cattle and guard property. Physically, they are robust dogs, instantly recognizable by their medium-large size, strong build, and striking black coat with distinct tan markings, particularly on the muzzle, chest, and legs. Their temperament, when properly socialized and trained, is one of unwavering loyalty and confidence; they are known for being calm and courageous, making them excellent guardians. While generally good with children within their own family, their protective instincts mean they require supervision with strangers. Due to their size and need for regular exercise and mental stimulation, Rottweilers are generally not ideal for apartment living and thrive in homes with secure yards. Health-wise, they can be predisposed to conditions such as hip and elbow dysplasia, as well as certain heart conditions, necessitating responsible breeding practices and regular veterinary check-ups.
