Description
Dog Breed: Cane Corso Mastiff. This is a courtesy listing, not a SPOT Rescue dog. For more information regarding Toto, contact Jim below... Breed: Cane Corso Mastiff Sex: Male Age: 3 years Adoption Fee: $350 Attributes: Good with Dogs House Trained Meet Toto – A Sweet, Gentle Giant Looking for His Forever Family Toto is a 3-year-old Cane Corso Mastiff with a personality that’s equal parts curious, goofy, and endearing. He’s a big teddy bear who loves his people and makes everyone around him smile. A little about Toto: • Friendly and very affectionate • Great with other dogs • Good with cats • Fully house trained • Knows sit, lay down, and shake (he takes “shake hands” very seriously) Toto’s family is sadly unable to keep him due to illness, and he’s currently being fostered in Fallbrook. We’re helping him find a stable, loving home that appreciates big breeds and wants a dog with a genuinely kind, easygoing disposition. Toto would be a great match for someone looking for a sweet, social companion who enjoys both playtime and relaxing. He’s used to being indoors, is affectionate, easy to be around, and bonds quickly with others. If you think Toto might be the right fit, we’d be happy to arrange a meet-and-greet. Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
