Dog Breed: Jack Russell Terrier (Parson Russell Terrier) (medium coat). Rocky â 12-year-old Jack Russell Terrier Rocky came to us as an owner surrender, along with his bonded daughter Daisy, when their family was moving and could not take them with them. Rocky isnât a fan of being picked up, but he is more than happy to lay by your side and watch TV any time of day. Heâs a sweet senior who enjoys companionship and calm moments. Rocky and Daisy are very close and would love to find a home together. Come meet us! If you are interested in meeting Daisy and Rocky, please visit the shelter during our open hours; Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri 10a-12p & 2p-4p, Thurs 10a-12p & 2p-5:30p, and Saturday 9a-1p.If you do not own your home, bring consent from the property owner to have a dog on the property. As always, if you have another dog in the home, plan to bring them for a meet before you complete the adoption. Adoption fees: 6m and younger $250, 7m-5y $200, 6y-10y $150, 11y and older $100. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds.
