Description
Dog Breed: English Mastiff. . Meet Remi This sweet 7-month-old girl is a huge puppy with an even bigger heart! Remi is both crate trained and house trained, and she’s already proven to be a smart young dog. She was simply too much puppy for her first family, but with the right home she is going to absolutely thrive. Remi loves to play with other dogs her size and would do best with a playful companion who can match her energy. We are currently working on her leash manners, and she’s making great progress. Because of her size and breed traits, a home with large-breed experience is ideal so she can continue growing into the amazing dog she’s meant to be. If you’re looking for a loyal, fun, and loving companion, Remi might just be

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
