Description
Dog Breed: Cane Corso Mastiff. Toodles is an 8–12 month old sweet female Cane Corso who lost her home when her owners learned her cherry eye surgery would cost over $1,000 — and that the “tack” procedure often doesn’t hold and can require multiple surgeries. At AZ Mastiff Rescue, we do what’s best for the dog. We do not tack or suture cherry eyes. We fully remove them — a one-and-done surgery — so Toodles will have her eyes taken care of before she heads to her forever home. Toodles is everything you love about a young Corso — dog friendly, playful, and all puppy energy! Her ideal home will have another dog that matches her play style to keep her company and help her thrive. She loves to cuddle, walks nicely on leash, and is a sweet, well-mannered girl. ✔️ Dog friendly ✔️ Loves to cuddle ✔️ Walks well on leash ✔️ Good with kids over 6 ✔️ Best with a breed-experienced home To meet her is truly to fall in love. ❤️ Apply to adopt at: .azmastiffrescue #AZMastiffRescue #CaneCorsoRescue #AdoptDontShop #CorsoLove #CherryEyeWarrior #RescueDog #PhoenixRescue #MastiffRescue

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
