Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed. Do you know me? I am a 3-year-old male neutered, Pit Bull mix. I was found loose on Blackland Road. I am microchipped but we are having trouble getting in touch with my owners. I am now completing my 7-day stray hold at Rockwall Adoption Center, to allow my owners time to reclaim me. If you recognize me or know where I belong, please call RAC at (972) 771-7750 ext. 2. **I am not available for meet and greets or adoption at this time** All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense.

In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term.
