Description
Dog Breed: Shih Tzu / Havanese / Mixed (medium coat). Meet Pretty! Pretty is an almost 1 year old Shih Tzu / Havanese mix. She was bottle-fed and it shows in the best (and wildest) ways. Pretty is extremely social and absolutely convinced that every person and every dog on earth is her best friend. She loves people of all ages and thrives on being right in the middle of whatever is happening. Privacy? Never heard of her. ,She adores other dogs and must have a confident, playful companion dog in the home, ideally one who enjoys being parkour equipment. She is way too energetic for a senior person or senior dog and will happily bounce off furniture, walls, and occasionally your dignity. Her zoomies are legendary: not quick one-minute bursts, but full half-hour cardio sessions. True to her breed, Pretty does bark at people she sees but it is less of a "get off my lawn" and more of a "GET OVER HERE AND PLAY WITH ME". Cats, however, are a different story. After being slapped by one, she decided to hold a lifelong grudge and is now a committed cat chaser. She is athletic, nosey, and always where the action is. She also loves mud like it's a lifestyle choice, so her future family should expect regular grooming to keep her mat-free and clean. Party girl energy, spa-day maintenance. Pretty has an oversized tongue, a tiny jaw, and malformed or missing teeth, which means her tongue is always out and somehow always adorable. Annual dental and oral checkups will be important, as dental disease could be a concern down the road. Her biggest flaw? A complete lack of survival instincts. Pretty fully expects you to catch her when she launches herself into a trust fall or trust leap. She operates under the unshakable belief that the world is safe, everyone loves her, and gravity is optional. She's never met a stranger in her life. If you are looking for a fearless, chaotic, affectionate little rock star who lives life at full volume, Pretty is ready to steal the spotlight (and your heart). Pretty is vaccinated, spayed and chipped. Her adoption fee is $450 We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495. Breed overview
Overview:
The Havashu is an adorable and increasingly popular hybrid, a delightful cross between the gentle Havanese and the charming Shih Tzu. Originating from designer breed efforts to combine the best traits of both parents, these small companions typically inherit a soft, wavy to curly coat that can come in a vast array of colors and patterns, often requiring regular grooming to prevent matting. Physically, they are compact and sturdy, usually weighing between 7-15 pounds. Temperamentally, Havashus are known for being affectionate, playful, and intelligent, making them highly trainable and eager to please. Their loving nature makes them excellent family pets and their adaptability suits them well for apartment living, provided they receive adequate daily exercise and mental stimulation. While generally robust, potential health considerations can include conditions common to their parent breeds, such as patellar luxation, eye conditions, and respiratory issues, underscoring the importance of responsible breeding and regular veterinary check-ups for a long, healthy life.
