Description
Dog Breed: Shih Tzu. Mabel is a sweet, devoted girl who loves being close to her people. She enjoys cuddling, being held, and relaxing beside her person. She would do best in a home where someone is around most of the time, as she prefers companionship and is mostly laid back with occasional playful moments. Mabel has a unique story that has only made her more special. The vet believes she was likely hit by a car in the past, which caused her to lose the use of one of her back legs. It does not slow her down or affect her sweet spirit. She gets around just fine and has adapted to her mobility difference. Mabel gets along well with other dogs and cats, making her a great addition to a multi pet household. She is not a fan of car rides, so she would prefer a home where adventures are close to home and comfort is the priority. If you are searching for a loyal, loving companion who will be your constant sidekick and fill your home with quiet affection, Mabel is ready to meet you and steal your heart. We receive many applications and many never respond after processing GREATLY delaying the pets forever home. Please only apply if you are serious about adopting. Please also make sure your pets are up to date on you species applicable Vaccines (rabies, Distemper/Parvo, FVRCP, Bordetella), spayed/neutered, and on Heartworm prevention if a canine. The adoption fee includes their age appropriate vaccinations(DA2PP and Bordetella), Dewormer, spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm test as well as the registration of their microchip information to you. The first step to adopting is to fill out an application for adoption. Once approved we will arrange a time for you to meet the animal you are interested in. If it is a match the adoption can then be completed and you can take home your new furry family member. If it is not a match we will file your approved application and you can wait till you find the perfect match.

The Shih Tzu, affectionately known as the "lion dog," boasts an ancient and regal lineage, originating from the Tibetan plateau and further refined in imperial China.
