Dog Breed: Plott Hound / Mixed (short coat). Chet – A Handsome, Well-Mannered Boy Looking for His Perfect Match Meet Chet, a handsome and affectionate pup who is ready to find the right home where he can truly thrive. Chet was found as a stray and never reclaimed, but he hasn’t let that dim his loving personality. He is friendly, easy to be around, and forms strong bonds with his people. He enjoys belly rubs, toys, and playtime (especially a good game of tug or chase), and he’s just as happy to relax by your side. Chet has recently been working with a trainer and is making wonderful progress. His foster describes him as “pretty dreamy,” and he’s been improving his impulse control while mastering commands like down, stay, and place. He’s also walking nicely on leash and becoming more confident in new environments. Chet does well with other dogs but should be fed separately. Based on recent observations, he would do best in a cat-free, adult-only home where he can feel comfortable and supported. He thrives with structure and will benefit from a home committed to continuing his training. In the right home, he will be a loyal, loving companion who just wants to be your guy. Chet is fixed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. He tested negative for heartworm. His adoption fee is $450. Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption.
