While some puppies charge into the world without a second thought, Sage prefers to take his time, carefully observing new people and situations before deciding they're safe. Because of his sensitive nature, Sage is looking for a patient and understanding family that will let him move at his own pace. He thrives in calm, predictable environments and needs adopters who understand that confidence can't be rushed—it grows through trust, consistency, and kindness. A confident, social resident dog is required for Sage. Having a canine companion helps him feel secure, teaches him that the world isn't so scary, and encourages him to be brave.
