Currently located at our Owensboro, KY location Meet Louie Louie was born in December of 2024 and is a handsome Labrador/Great Dane mix weighing around 70 pounds. He has a big heart and is still learning that the world can be a safe place. Louie can be shy and timid at first and will need a patient, understanding home willing to help him build confidence. He is especially terrified of car rides, so his future family will need to work with him slowly and positively to help him overcome that fear. Despite his nervous side, Louie is a sweet and social boy who has done well with other dogs both here at the shelter and in temporary foster homes. He’s also said to be housebroken. Because of his size and playful energy, Louie will need a home without cats or young children. With structure, training, and love, he has all the potential to become an incredibly loyal companion.
