Description
Dog Breed: Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie / Mixed (medium coat). Adoption Fee: $350.00. NEW RESCUE! KID ROCK IS MY NAME, SNUGGLES ARE MY GAME! Hi everyone, my name is Kid Rock and I am looking for a forever family to call my very own. I am a 2 year old yorkie mix, my foster Mom thinks I am a yorkie/pomeranian mix. I weigh in at about 8 pounds and I am house trained and sleep in a crate at night. Being in the crate is not my favorite thing to do but I will settle down after a few minutes. I get along with all the dogs here in my foster home and even do okay with the resident cat but snuggling with my human is what I love best! I love to sit on your lap or next to you when you are relaxing on the sofa and the more attention I get the happier I am. I will follow you around the house just to be close to you. I would be fine with kids 10 and older. I love to sit on the back of the sofa during the day so I can watch all the activities outdoors and I will bark to let you know the mail has arrived. A fenced yard will be a big bonus so I can stay safe in my new home. Are you the family I am hoping for? Apply today at bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
