Description
Dog Breed: German Shepherd Dog / Rottweiler / Mixed (medium coat). Adoption Fee: $300. NEW RESCUE! #ManCrushMonday #MCM Hi friends! I’m Coco Bear, a 3 month old GSD/Rottie mix and I am so ready to find my forever. I will be a big boy when I grow up- like, 70+ lbs big, but I’m so sweet you’ll be sure to love every pound! I am mostly potty trained, I sleep quietly in my crate at night(and don’t mind going in there during the day), and I’m working hard on my manners. I didn’t have a lot of socialization before my foster house, so I was really timid when I first came here. Now I will greet you at the door and say hi to strangers, but if you swoop down to pick me up too fast I might pee a little. I’m working on that. My foster mom’s favorite thing about me, aside from my massive paws and my adorably goofy run? When I get excited for something- I literally can’t contain it. I whine, my entire booty shakes, and I get a little grin on my face. I just cant help it. This life is so good! I currently live with babies and toddlers. They have lots of energy to play with me and I like that. I’d say my ideal house has another dog and or an active lifestyle, and probably a lot of squeaky toys. When you’re done playing with me I’ll just squeak to my hearts content before settling down for a nap. Are you ready for an adventure buddy? Apply to meet me today bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication

Breed overview
Overview:
The Shepweiller, a robust crossbreed stemming from the German Shepherd Dog and the Rottweiler, originated from the desire to combine the intelligence and trainability of the former with the strength and loyalty of the latter. Physically, they are large, powerful dogs, typically boasting a dense, short to medium coat in black and tan, or solid black. Their temperament is generally confident, protective, and intelligent, making them excellent guard dogs and loyal companions. Early socialization and consistent training are crucial due to their strong will and protective instincts. While incredibly devoted to their families, their size and exercise needs make them less suitable for small apartments; a home with a fenced yard is ideal. As with many large breeds, potential health considerations include hip and elbow dysplasia, and they may be prone to certain cancers, so regular veterinary check-ups are important for their long-term well-being.
