Description
Dog Breed: Beagle / Labrador Retriever / Mixed. A SWEET & FRIENDLY GIRL: Approx. 10 years old / Approx. 36 lbs. Hello – I’m Honeybun! Mostly Mutts rescued me from animal control, and I am so happy they were able to bring me into the MM family! I’ve recently spent time in a couple of great temporary foster homes and am now back at the shelter – sharing love with everyone I meet. I have a large tumor on my right hind quarter that will be operated on approx. 02/25/26, see medical below for details about that. I also needed a good dental cleaning which I have already had completed. • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I enjoyed hanging out with two dogs in one of my temp foster homes as well as playing with some dogs I met at the Mostly Mutts shelter, so if you have a nice doggie at home already, let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I was a bit scared when I arrived at the shelter but began to blossom quickly. Then the weather got really cold and there was an ‘all call’ for temporary fosters to host us until the weather passed, I went to a nice home and gained even more confidence there and had a great time too! I have a quiet and gentle nature, and my foster said I am ‘just a lovely dog’ who will be a great addition to a lucky family. With my cute little face, I am ready to charm my new family and live a great life with them. / My energy level is 6-7 so I have pep in my step at 10 years old. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I am a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program, where I will be learning lots of great commands with my trainer. Check back soon to see what I have mastered. / My crate manners have been good at Mostly Mutts. / My potty habits have been good on the shelter schedule with only a few accidents and they were good in my temp foster homes. • LIKES/DISLIKES: My favorite thing is being with my people. Whether we are enjoying a nice walk or cuddling on the couch, I treasure those times. I love to be in a lap, so make room for me, and let’s cuddle! / I was VERY nervous during the car ride from the shelter to my foster home. Otherwise, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL: I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I had a good dental cleaning and a few teeth removed, so my mouth is fresh again. I have a large tumor on my right hind quarter that has been evaluated by the vet and as much as possible will be removed approx. 2/25/26, so local adoption only. Just ask about that. I am looking for a wonderful home with a loving family! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.

Breed overview
Overview:
The Labbe, an increasingly popular designer dog breed, is a delightful mix of the outgoing Beagle and the loyal Labrador Retriever. Originating from the desire to combine the best traits of both parents, Labbes are known for their medium size, typically weighing between 30-70 pounds, and possessing a sturdy, athletic build. Their coats are usually short and dense, varying in color like their Lab parents, and their ears often retain the Beagle's charming flop. Temperamentally, Labbes are renowned for being friendly, intelligent, and generally good-natured, making them excellent family pets that thrive on companionship. While adaptable, their moderate energy levels mean they benefit from regular exercise and are best suited for homes with yards, although they can adapt to apartment living with sufficient outdoor activity. Potential health considerations, inherited from their parent breeds, can include hip and elbow dysplasia, ear infections, and certain eye conditions, making responsible breeding and regular veterinary check-ups crucial for these engaging companions.
