Name: Laly Best Guess for Breed: Lab Mix Best Guess for Age: 1.5 years as of February, 2026 SEX: Female Approximate Weight: 40 lbs as of 2/11/26 Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen her with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters! Currently Living at: Shelter. Laly needs a foster or adopter to make her way to the DC area! Special adoption considerations: Dogs from Puerto Rico have a major transition to go through when they arrive and will need humans who are very committed to socialization. We think this pup would do best with either a resident dog or a family who can make sure they can go on walks regularly with other dogs, visit the dog park, or go to doggie daycare to learn the ropes. Laly is Looking For: Her forever home! Laly is full of young dog energy, and is eagerly looking forward to having her own humans for sniffy walks and all the adventures they can dream up. She'd love the opportunity to go to dog school so she can show how super smart she is. Oh! And pets, cuddles, and belly scritches at the end of a long day together. Most of all, though, she wants to know she's safe and loved. In exchange she promises all the adoring gazes and happy tail wags she's storing up, and loyal companionship for all her days.
