Description
Dog Breed: Rottweiler / German Shepherd Dog / Mixed (medium coat). Adoption Fee: 375.00. Bensley and 4 other siblings were surrendered to a SW Virginia pound and they were so cute we just knew a rescue would step up quickly for them. But they sat for over a week with no interest at all. That is when we stepped in to save them! We do not know their breed make up as we have not done a dna test. German shep mix is just a best guess. They came into rescue & setteled in with foster families without missing a beat - it was as if they had always been there! They slept through the night and are doing great at house training. They love to play and then cuddle up with you for a nice nap...only to do it all over again. They LOVE to eat and treatos! Bensley is great at entertaining herself & has no fear! She loves to play and gives the best kisses. She knows how to go in her kennel on command & knows sit too! Bensley loves to be outside & wrestle with her brother & when she gets the zoomies it is the cutest. She is learning to walk on leash now. The adoption fee is $375 and includes age appropriate vaccines, deworming, microchip and spay or neuter. To adopt go to .braginc under forms for more info email bragincinfogmail

Breed overview
Overview:
The Shepweiller, a robust crossbreed stemming from the German Shepherd Dog and the Rottweiler, originated from the desire to combine the intelligence and trainability of the former with the strength and loyalty of the latter. Physically, they are large, powerful dogs, typically boasting a dense, short to medium coat in black and tan, or solid black. Their temperament is generally confident, protective, and intelligent, making them excellent guard dogs and loyal companions. Early socialization and consistent training are crucial due to their strong will and protective instincts. While incredibly devoted to their families, their size and exercise needs make them less suitable for small apartments; a home with a fenced yard is ideal. As with many large breeds, potential health considerations include hip and elbow dysplasia, and they may be prone to certain cancers, so regular veterinary check-ups are important for their long-term well-being.
