Description
Dog Breed: Cane Corso Mastiff. Meet Bishop Can you say handsome? Because this stunning two-year-old Cane Corso is as wonderful in temperament as he is striking in looks. Bishop has been raised in a loving home and it shows — he is great with kids (even toddlers!), dog friendly, house trained, and crate trained. This boy already knows how to be a perfect companion. Bishop sadly found himself in rescue when his landlord decided he was too big for the rental home. Through no fault of his own, this absolute gem is now looking for a forever family that will love him as much as he deserves. If you are searching for a loyal, family-ready dog with both beauty and brains, Bishop may be your perfect match. He is ready to bring love, protection, and companionship into his new home. ✨ Apply to adopt: azmastiffrescue #AdoptBishop #CaneCorso #CorsoLove #MastiffRescue #AdoptDontShop #RescueDog #FamilyDog #GentleGiant #DogLovers #ForeverHome #ArizonaDogs #AZMastiffRescue

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
