Meet Parker! Parker is a 2-year-old, 36-pound Labradoodle with a sweet spirit and a smart mind to match. This lovely girl is spayed and crate trained, and she’s almost completely housetrained—she may have a small accident from time to time as she adjusts, but she’s doing great and eager to please. Parker is a bright pup who’s currently learning her basic commands like sit and stay, and she’s picking them up quickly. She loves to play fetch and explore the great outdoors, but because she is Heartworm positive (HW+), Parker is currently on activity restrictions while she undergoes treatment. She is available through The Rescue Crew’s foster-to-adopt program, giving her future family the opportunity to support her through recovery and welcome her officially once she’s healthy. Even with her temporary restrictions, Parker is a wonderful companion. She enjoys quiet time relaxing in her crate or stretching out in a sunny spot on the living room floor. She’s great with kids, cats, and other dogs, making her a fantastic fit for many different types of families. With her loving personality, playful charm, and gentle nature, Parker is ready to find a forever home where she can continue to learn, grow, and share all the affection she has to give. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption. The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Request Form prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at .RescueCrew. You can also access the necessary online forms here as well.

Breed overview
Overview:
The Labradoodle is a charming and increasingly popular hybrid breed, originating in Australia in the late 1980s with the goal of creating a guide dog for a visually impaired individual allergic to dog hair. This delightful canine combines the best traits of its parent breeds: the intelligent Poodle (Standard) and the friendly Labrador Retriever. Physically, Labradoodles boast a range of sizes and coat types, from wavy fleece to curly wool, often shed-reduced, making them a potential option for individuals with mild allergies. Their coats come in various colors, including cream, chocolate, and black. Temperamentally, they are known for being sociable, intelligent, and trainable, making them excellent family pets. They thrive on human companionship and require moderate exercise to stay happy and healthy. While adaptable, their energy levels mean they generally prefer homes with yards over small apartments, though daily walks are essential. Common health considerations, inherited from their parent breeds, can include hip and elbow dysplasia, eye conditions, and certain cancers, so choosing a reputable breeder is crucial for a healthy companion.
