Description

Dog Breed: Rottweiler (short coat). Meet Brownie! Brownie is a 1-year-old hunk who is looking for a second chance at a first impression. Through no fault of his own, his previous adoption plans fell through, and he is now searching for a committed forever family. Brownie is truly a "best of all worlds" pup. He is friendly and has done wonderfully with other dogs, cats, and children. He is playful, affectionate, and has been a "perfect pup" in his foster home. Because he is a strong, smart boy, we are looking for a home with breed experience (or a strong commitment to continued leadership) to ensure he thrives. If you are looking for a vetted, social, and handsome companion to add to your pack, Brownie is your guy! All of our animals receive comprehensive veterinary care prior to adoption, including a full exam, age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, microchipping, spay or neuter, heartworm testing, and any necessary medical treatment. A vet reference, home and/or family visit, and an adoption fee are required. Transport options are available within our operating region, including Pennsylvania, the tri-state area, and New England. We do not adopt animals to Canada. For more information or to submit an application, please visit pmarinc. All of our animals are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heartworm tested and treated if necessary. Vet references are required and prior to adoption a home inspection will be conducted. Transport options available. Adoption fee applies. If interested go to .pmarinc for an application.

Rottweiler

A.K.A.: Rottweil butcher's dog, Rottweil dog, Rottie, Rotty, Rott, Rot, Rotts, Rotties, Butchers dog, German Rottweiler
Overview:

The Rottweiler is a powerful and intelligent breed, originating in Germany where they were primarily used to drive cattle and guard property. Physically, they are robust dogs, instantly recognizable by their medium-large size, strong build, and striking black coat with distinct tan markings, particularly on the muzzle, chest, and legs. Their temperament, when properly socialized and trained, is one of unwavering loyalty and confidence; they are known for being calm and courageous, making them excellent guardians. While generally good with children within their own family, their protective instincts mean they require supervision with strangers. Due to their size and need for regular exercise and mental stimulation, Rottweilers are generally not ideal for apartment living and thrive in homes with secure yards. Health-wise, they can be predisposed to conditions such as hip and elbow dysplasia, as well as certain heart conditions, necessitating responsible breeding practices and regular veterinary check-ups.
