Description
Dog Breed: Boxer (short coat). Adoption Fee: $433.50 (includes MN taxes). PUPDATE 4.8.26 Pint-Sized Princess, Professional Ball Hoarder” Age: 6 (May) Personality: Sweet, submissive, total cuddle queen. Will lean into you like you’re her throne. Constant “guilty” face = permanent adorable mode. Quirks: Obsessed with balls — always keeps one in her mouth, expects you to fetch the spare. Extremely particular about treats (very chic taste). Newly into bully sticks. Protective of her toys — especially balls. House rules: Not a fan of kennels but will go quietly. Good with people and kids. Does best when she’s the center of your lap-and-ball routine. Best home: Someone who loves constant low-key cuddles, fetch marathons (you’ll be doing a lot of chasing spare balls), and will respect her toy boundaries. Would thrive with patient potty routines (re-potty training in progress). These two grew up together, love the same people, and will both show up for pets — you can’t pet one without the other appearing. They do not share toys well and have had scuffles over balls/special toys. If adopted together: bring two sets of favorite toys (and separate play sessions when needed) and they’ll be a hilarious, loving pair. If adopted separately: be prepared to manage toy-guarding behaviors and reintroduce appropriate sharing/ownership. Quick facts: Great with kids and people. Eager to please, responsive to training. Re-potty training: Nala mostly there; Eddie still working on marking. Ideal adopters: Active, patient, ready for lots of cuddles and fetch, able to manage toy-guarding (or willing to adopt both). NEW TO RESCUE 3.29.26 I'm a sweet, happy, fairly easy going girl. I love to play and cuddle with my brother, Eddie. I love cuddles and like to be carried or held. My favorite toys are balls, but me and Eddie sometimes fight over them. I'm great with other dogs, cats, and kids. I loves the water and will take baths with no issues but will try to run off when it's nail trim time. I'm housetrained and crate trained.

Breed overview
Boxer
A.K.A.: Deutscher Boxer, German Boxer, Dutch Boxer, Boxer dog, Boxy, Boxerman
Overview:
The Boxer is a medium-sized, short-haired dog breed of German origin, known for its distinctive appearance and vibrant personality. Physically, Boxers possess a strong, athletic build with a characteristic square head, an undershot jaw, and often a docked tail and cropped ears (though these practices are becoming less common). Their short, glossy coat typically comes in fawn or brindle, often with white markings. Temperamentally, Boxers are renowned for being incredibly loyal, intelligent, and energetic, making them fantastic companions for active families. They thrive on human interaction and can be playful and patient with children, making them excellent family pets. While their energy levels require regular exercise, their adaptability means they can adjust to apartment living if their activity needs are consistently met. However, potential owners should be aware of certain health considerations, including a predisposition to some cancers, heart conditions like cardiomyopathy, and hip dysplasia, underscoring the importance of responsible breeding and regular veterinary check-ups.
