Description
Dog Breed: Cocker Spaniel. {s1550code1114/} {s1550code1111/} {s1550code1113/} I am a friendly 3 year old Cocker Spaniel with three legs. You see, I had four legs up until a few weeks ago when my owners got divorced and moved leaving me and my best friend Duchess (also available for adoption) outside of our home to fend for ourselves. The neighbors were feeding us, but I walked into the road and was hit by a car causing my R rear leg to have to be amputated. I also had to get a lot of mats cut out of my hair.

Overview:
The Cocker Spaniel, a beloved breed with roots in the United Kingdom, was originally bred as a gundog to flush out woodcock. They are instantly recognizable by their medium size, typically weighing 20-30 pounds, their luxurious, often wavy coat (which comes in a variety of colors), and their long, expressive ears that frame their gentle, eager-to-please eyes. Known for their merry and affectionate temperament, Cockers are generally good-natured, intelligent, and relatively easy to train, making them an excellent choice for families with children and even first-time dog owners. While adaptable, their moderate exercise needs can be met with daily walks and playtime, making them suitable for apartment living as long as they receive sufficient mental and physical stimulation. Prospective owners should be aware of certain health considerations, including ear infections (due to their long ears), eye conditions like cataracts, and hip dysplasia, which highlight the importance of responsible breeding and regular veterinary check-ups.
