Dog Breed: Coonhound / Mixed. Meet Homer – Your Perfect Adventurer & Couch Companion Homer is a truly special guy with a huge heart and the kindest, soulful brown eyes you’ll ever see. Through no fault of his own, Homer is looking for a new forever home after his owner became ill and could no longer care for him. Despite the change, Homer has nothing but love left to give. He was recently estimated at 10-years-old and weighs 60lbs. This handsome, mature gentleman has a calm nature that makes him a joy to be around. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and fits right into a pack, happily avoiding any need to be “top dog.” He enjoys both human and canine company and is just as content hanging out with you as he is going for a walk. Homer loves his daily strolls and can handle longer hikes with ease. He’s great on leash, enjoys car rides, and would be thrilled to join you on road trips and adventures. At the end of the day, he settles in beautifully and sleeps comfortably in his crate. He’s housetrained, well mannered, and truly a perfect gentleman in the home. Because he can get a bit enthusiastic and may jump up, Homer would do best with older kids. He is not a fan of cats, but he is very dogfriendly and submissive in his interactions.
