Description
Dog Breed: Corgi / Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler / Mixed (medium coat). Adoption Fee: $350.00. Meet O’Ryan! This spunky little goofball is on the hunt for his forever home! With a personality that shines as bright as the star he’s named after, O’Ryan is equal parts playful and cuddly. He loves to wrestle, play tug, and chew on his favorite bones—and he recently discovered tail-chasing, which is now a top-tier hobby. When playtime is over, he’s more than happy to curl up and snuggle right by your side. O’Ryan is already becoming a smart little guy! He’s doing great with kennel training and will happily go into his crate. He’s also learning the ropes of potty training—he uses pee pads well and is practicing going outside every day. At just 3 months old, O’Ryan is a Corgi mix (with a little mystery mixed in!). His mama looked like a corgi, but he may grow a bit bigger—we’re estimating around 40 lbs full grown (he’s about 10 lbs right now). He gets along wonderfully with cats, dogs, and gentle kids, making him a perfect addition to so many types of homes. If you’re looking for a playful, loving companion, O’Ryan might just be your soul dog Apply to adopt him here: bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
