Description
Dog Breed: Labrador Retriever / Poodle (Standard) / Mixed. Adoption Fee: 425. Hi!!! I’m Laddie Boy I’m a one-year-old, 55-pound Labradoodle mix with a big heart and an even bigger zest for life. If you’re looking for a sweet, happy, always-ready-for-adventure kind of guy, I might just be your perfect match. Let me tell you a little about myself… I’m completely house trained, yes I’m a gentleman, and I take that very seriously. I love going for walks, the longer the better, and I have plenty of energy to keep up with an active family. Fetch? Yes please. Tug? Absolutely. Zoomies in the yard? My specialty. I could happily play all day and still have tail wags left over. In my foster home, I get along great with the other dogs. I love having buddies to wrestle and romp with, and I’m respectful of their boundaries when they let me know they need a break. As for cats, well… I think they are VERY interesting and I am quite determined to convince them to play with me. Because of that, I’d do best in a home without cats, or with very dog savvy cats who have a safe place to retreat when I get a little too enthusiastic about friendship. At night, I’m a total cuddle bug and sleep right in bed with my humans. When they’re away, I go into my crate like a good boy and settle in nicely until they come home. At the end of the day, I’m just a super sweet boy who wants love, activity, and a family to call my own. If you’re ready for a loyal companion who will keep you moving, laughing, and feeling loved every single day, I’m ready to pack my bags. Could that be with you? Breed overview
Overview:
The Labradoodle is a charming and increasingly popular hybrid breed, originating in Australia in the late 1980s with the goal of creating a guide dog for a visually impaired individual allergic to dog hair. This delightful canine combines the best traits of its parent breeds: the intelligent Poodle (Standard) and the friendly Labrador Retriever. Physically, Labradoodles boast a range of sizes and coat types, from wavy fleece to curly wool, often shed-reduced, making them a potential option for individuals with mild allergies. Their coats come in various colors, including cream, chocolate, and black. Temperamentally, they are known for being sociable, intelligent, and trainable, making them excellent family pets. They thrive on human companionship and require moderate exercise to stay happy and healthy. While adaptable, their energy levels mean they generally prefer homes with yards over small apartments, though daily walks are essential. Common health considerations, inherited from their parent breeds, can include hip and elbow dysplasia, eye conditions, and certain cancers, so choosing a reputable breeder is crucial for a healthy companion.
