Description
Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (medium coat). Adoption Fee: $300.00. HEY HEY HEY! I’m Sonic! I’m 8 months-ish • Pittie Mix • 55 lbs of love + mischief • Petey‑from‑Little‑Rascals lookalike Hiiii hoomans! I’m Sonic — the puppy, the legend, the wiggle‑butt. I might be 55lbs, but don’t let that fool you… I’m still a certified puppy at heart. I’ve been with my foster dad since I was a tiny 6‑week‑old spud, and now I’ve grown into a very handsome potato with a rascally looking face that makes people go “OMG LOOK AT HIM!” From my updated pics, I like the water, swimming? It’s scary but I’m still trying. I also camp pretty hard. I love the outdoors. Kids? My tiny besties. My foster dad’s nieces (ages 4 and 8) are basically my personal hype squad. We play, we cuddle, we share toys… well, they share toys. I’m still learning that not everything is mine (puppy logic is undefeated). Cats? I’m a polite king. I’ve met kitties and I’m a gentleman about it. No chasing, no chaos — just respectful sniffing and hopeful friendship attempts. Dogs? YES. ALL OF THEM. I love other dogs. Big ones, small ones, goofy ones, serious ones — I’m here for the whole squad. I’m social, playful, and ready to be your dog park wingman. Counter‑Surfing Ninja (with receipts) Sooo… listen. I’m mostly house trained. I’m doing great! But if no one is around? If something is left juuuust a little too close to the edge? If my dad forgets to put something away? Finders. Keepers is my motto! I’m basically a stealth operative… except I leave a trail. A very obvious trail. My foster dad says I’m a ninja with terrible follow‑through. Home Life: I Have My Own Room When my dad leaves for long periods, I get my own room. It’s like a tiny puppy apartment. I chill, I nap, I vibe. But when he’s home? I want to be right next to you. Preferably touching you. Preferably cuddling you. Preferably being pet while I stare lovingly into your soul. What I’m Looking For A forever family who wants a goofy, loving, cuddle machine with big personality, big heart, and big “oops I thought that was mine” energy. I’ll be your best friend, your shadow, your snuggle buddy, and your daily dose of joy. If you’re ready for a dog who loves hard, plays hard, and steals snacks with passion… I’m your guy. Tail wagging. Smile activated. Forever‑home ready. Ready to meet me? apply today at bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
