Dog Breed: Pug / Mixed (short coat). Meet Fry, a 10 month old pug mix with the most adorable pout. Fry came in with his sister, Leela, and they were terrified of their new surroundings. At 10 months old, they were just experiencing walking on a leash for the first time. Now he is walking so well on leash, and loves to take nice leisurely strolls where he can sniff as much as his little heart desires. We’ve loved seeing him blossom as much as he has while here at the shelter. His playful side is starting to come out and we think he’d do great in a home with another dog! He may need some time to warm up when meeting new people, but a little patience and some treats sure go a long way! At this time, the shelter is requiring him to go home with another dog, to help bring him out of his shell and bridge his relationship to people! His sister Leela and him make an adorable pair, but if you have another playful pup at home that would work too! Fry follows the lead of the other, more confident pups, to show him that people are friends and not as scary as he thinks they are. Even with another dog in the home, he may require more than one visit before he starts to open up and be comfortable enough to go home.
